Yes Or No On Ultra-Modern NDC Office? Top Guns Give Diametrically Opposed Answers

The brouhaha over the erection of a multimillion dollar edifice at Adabraka, a suburb of Accra which is intended to be the new National Democratic Congress party headquarters, is not likely to die soon following some diametrically opposed answers being provided by some big guns in the party. Whiles three leading figures of the NDC have stated on various platforms that the party is erecting a new office complex, the location seem to be a bit perplexing. The Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG), on Monday, raised alarm at the construction of the imposing edifice. In a press statement issued yesterday, the group expressed worry about the source of funding for the edifice, since some few years ago, the NDC claim they could not submit their audited accounts because of lack of adequate financial resources to hire external auditors. AFAG said, it is therefore worrisome to see to the near completion of this modern office which the group estimates at $20 Million (300 billion old Ghana Cedis). On Monday, December 5th, Solomon Nkansah, Deputy Propaganda Secretary of the NDC, openly disclosed on The Platform, a socio-political programme on Peacefm (which airs on Mondays and Wednesdays between 8:20 10:00pm) that the said building belongs to the NDC. He, however, disputed the figure being bandied about by AFAG.
