Six Fulani nomads have been shot dead in Zamashegu, a farming community in the Gushegu district of the Northern region. This followed what appeared to be an alleged attack on the Fulanis in their households by assailants suspected to be rival Konkombas.
It is not clear what necessitated that deadly attack though the Gushegu District Chief Executive, Alhaji Fuseini Alhassan, confirmed the calamity to Citi News. �It is actually true, but it is not a clash but an attack on the Fulanis by unknown assailants suspected to be Konkombas where they have their houses burnt down,� Alhaji Alhassan said.
�Several of them have been wounded but I can assure you there is a combined team of military and police personnel on the ground,� he added.
