Parliament To Probe Gadaffis Murder

The Parliament of Ghana has been petitioned by a group of Pan Africanist to investigate the Libyan crisis and the murder of Brother Muammar Gaddafi by the US/NATO forces. The three page petition chronicled the agenda of the Western imperialist, which it said is resource hungry and, therefore, desperate to control and dominate rich but weak countries through the use of armed force. The group, Pan Afrikan Council (PAC) noted that the coldblooded murder of Gadaffi was a crime against humanity and therefore the government of Ghana through the African Union must endeavor to investigate the depth and scope of the Libyan crisis especially the circumstances surrounding the murder of Gadaffi. The petition has categorically indicted the Libyan rebel (NTC) leader, Jalil for masterminding the macabre murder of the 70-year old leader, brother Gadaffi. They stated, there is evidence that the NTC leader, Jalil commissioned a squad of bandits to carry out the execution of Gadaffi after an unannounced meeting with the US Secretary of State. Pan Afrikan Council underscored that there is no justifiable reason for the military campaign and the heartless execution of Gadaffi. PAC wondered whether the prize to pay for democracy and human rights protection is by decimating Libyan infrastructure and execution of its head of state who has managed to put his country on a sound developmental footing which surpassed most European countries today. PAC observed that the motivation for the war was not the best idea of protecting human rights or stopping Gadaffi from killing his people but rather it was a war for the control of resources. The PAC pointed out that the country Libya due to the leaders interest in uniting Africa has been on the hit list for a long time, adding that the insurgency sparked in an anti Gadaffi stronghold of Benghazi was ostensibly sponsored by the West in order to take control of Africas largest oil reserve.
