All Hands Must Be On Deck � Ofosu Ampofo

Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate-elect for the Tema West Constituency, has asked members and supporters of the party to take active part in the campaign activities to enable NDC wrest the parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) come December 2012. Addressing teaming supporters of the party in the constituency after a float at the weekend, Mr Ofosu Ampofo, who is also the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development urged them to remain united. The float through some of the principal streets of Tema was to express his appreciation to members after last month�s parliamentary primary, which resulted in the Minister�s resounding victory. Mr Ofosu Ampofo, who is the current Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, called for unity and tenacity of purpose among the rank and file of the party to ensure victory in the next year�s general elections. He assured members and supporters in the Tema West Constituency: �We will use superior organisational tactics to beat NPP� reminding them that the campaign towards victory in 2012 has just began. Mr George Emidie and Mr James Enu, two of the primary contestants, who lost to Mr Ofosu Ampofo addressed the gathering and pledged their unflinching support to their him to ensure victory. On November 27, Mr Ofosu Ampofo polled 193 votes as against a total of 133 votes by the four other contestants in the Tema West parliamentary primary of the NDC.
