Chris Attoh Hosts Show In Nigeria With Veena of Big Brother Fame

Pan African Actor of the year 2011, Mr. Chris Attoh continues to make Ghana proud, and this time he does so supporting a truly worthy cause. On the 11th of December 2011, Mr. Attoh hosted the fashion for life fundraising show for sickle cell and Cervical cancer. The anticipated event took place at the Yaradua Centre in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria. Hosting with Chris was Miss Veena who is a local celebrity, a former Big Brother Africa housemate and currently a Radio Presenter on Kiss FM in Abuja. The two MCs did an extraordinary job of raising large funds to help further prevent the spread of sickle cell and cervical cancer. In an interview, Chris said he was grateful for the platform given and also thankful for a chance to display his MC skills in yet another country and city. "I am happy to have had this platform to be able to help people. As an African Entertainment Icon, I believe firmly in the phrase To whom much is giving, much is expected" when you are watched by millions across the continent and people enjoy you every day, then you have been blessed with the rare responsibility of reaching people, even if it's with a message every different time, and this platform gave me that opportunity. Last Night I believe we spread further awareness against sickle cell and cervical Cancer two of the worst kind of killers on the African continent. I am constantly searching for new ways in which to show and share my gratitude to fans and that's not all, but I constantly also seek new ways to give back to society. Indeed i am happy to be in support of a worthy cause and to be instrumental in its unfolding. It was a pleasure to be a part of this transitional event, and to utilize this platform in reaching out to both victims and fellow supporters." Christopher Attoh Looks forward to leaving his mark, as an icon who did something about something during his time, he is currently gearing up for his new and upcoming movie to be shot in Ife, Nigeria, this coming January where Chris will play alongside some local and international leads.
