Gospel hit makers Daughters of Glorious Jesus are back with a BAK2BAK concert slated for the 1st of January 2012. Set to thrill their ever anticipating Ghanaian fans, Daughters of Glorious Jesus� Cynthia, Edna and Monica are rolling back the years to unleash all their hit songs on one big stage at the Conference centre on New Year�s Day. From their maiden album, �Anwanwa Do� to �Aseda�, the trio has set a track record of outdoing themselves with every new release and performance. The BAK2BAK concert promises to be yet another enthralling stage list by one of Ghana�s favourite gospel groups. Joining them on stage in a night of worship and praise will be matching gospel chart toppers like Rev. Mary Ghansah, Nii Okai and Amy Newman. Other gospel artistes like Kofi Dua Anto (KODA) and OJ will also be there to usher in the New Year with some of Ghana�s much loved gospel tunes. The trio (two sisters and a friend) have enjoyed an enviable, smooth-flowing relationship for over 300 years and there is no sign of a break up. In fact, the bond grows stronger by the day and Cynthia, the group leader tells the Globe �The best is yet to come.� The three ladies were discovered by Bishop Akwasi Asare Bediako of the Resurrection Power and Living Bread Ministries sometime in the 1980s while they were teenagers. �I was about 15 years at the time. Bishop saw the gift that was in us so he approached our parents and asked us to stay with him while schooling. He taught us how to study the Bible, how to write songs and nurtured our gifts to this stage. He�s still our father and we look up to him a lot� Cynthia is the Leader of the group and is in charge of all the song compositions, arrangements and rehearsal schedules. Edna is in charge of wardrobe and decides what the group wears to any programme or event. Monica is the prayer director, responsible for the �spiritual health� of the group. For over twenty five years, she has ensured the trio pray twice every week to seek for God�s grace and guidance in their ministry. The concert, according to the three lovely ladies, is to celebrate God�s goodness over the years while welcoming the New Year with a heart of gratitude. Apart from the fact that Daughters of Glorious Jesus� BAK2BAK concert would be a fantastic way of starting the New Year, proceeds from the event will be used to drill bore holes for three communities in the Upper East region.
