Samini Was Loudest @ Loud In GH

The heat is building up to undoubtedly the biggest Christmas event on the Ghanaian entertainment calendar which comes off on December 24 dubbed Decemba 2 Rememba organised by Citi 97. 3FM which has been certified and approved as the official Christmas party. Ahead of this anticipated event several other way paving programs have been lined up, some as a rehearsal for the Decemba 2 Rememba (D2R) artistes and other as a teaser to the D2R event. One such show was the Loud in GH concert which featured a number of Ghanas finest artistes who managed to shake up the Dome of the International Conference Centre over the weekend. Ghanas dancehall maestro Samini yet again proved to be the best on-the-spot free stylist when he took his turn on stage. While rocking the stage, there was a little scuffle somewhere in the audience and before security could salvage the situation, Samini had started a freestyle about the scuffle and turned it into a ragger tune to the amazement and excitement of the audience. Free styling is one of the trademarks of the where my baby dey hit maker and he was phenomenal on the night. He dropped several of his hit songs like sweet mistake, Tempo etc all on live band. Other artiste who shook the event grounds included Buk Bak who is truly back with their track titled koyong. The duo went back in time and dropped some old classic tunes and had almost everyone singing along. Trigmatic was fantastic on the night and so were the Supernatural Power brokers 4X4 and Ghanas hottest female rapper Tiffany. R2Bees, Sarkodie, Dr. Cryme, Eazzy, Raquel, Stonebouy, Okyeame Kwame, and the MUSIGA president Obour were all on stage to complete the package for the audience. The set design for the concert was good but could have been better and the positioning of the DJs pit in the middle of the stage was not a bad idea but was badly executed because about three or four artistes fell flat into it which was dangerous. Bright or Blig sparkles of Buk Bak fame was a victim and so wes Jay Ghartey and some other artistes. One of the special effect smoke or fog machines was placed at the very edge of the stage and every time it puffed, it was right in the faces of the audience. All in all, Loud in GH was loud and a good precursor for the Decemba 2 Rememba set for the 24th of December at the International Conference Centre.
