The Country Director of Chicken Republic�a fast food company, Mr Kofi Abunu, has stressed the need for people, particularly workers in the corporate world, to make breakfast the most important meal of the day.
According to him, breakfast is necessary to energise the mind for productive work during the day hence the need for it to be taken seriously.
Mr Abunu made the call when he formally opened the exclusive breakfast services on the Osu premises of the company. The joint operates from as early as 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and serves a variety of healthy breakfast meals.
�We identified the gap in the market and have explored it not only to make money but to ensure that those who skip breakfast are provided with an opportunity to change that habit,� he said.
Mr Abunu said the research conducted by the company revealed that due to the heavy traffic situation in town, many workers leave home early without eating.
�They also get to the office and continue with work until the afternoon when they eat heavily,� he said. Mr Abunu said in order to help such people, Chicken Republic was offering services that would help end the practice.
�Workers, apart from coming to the branch at Osu to eat, can call for delivery services and that will be done on time,� he said. He said the food was carefully prepared, taking the health needs of the people into consideration.
Some of the special invited guests at the Osu branch described the service as timely and a move which would help change the habit of many who skipped breakfast. They expressed the hope that the service would be extended to other branches of the company to enable many people to access the service.
