A Fulani man in his mid twenties was today Friday December 23, 2011 lynched at Lamashegu, direct opposite Justice Fm. An irate mob approached him in front of the radio station and inflicted cutlass wounds on his body. He gathered courage and ran for cover in somebodys motor spare parts store but was pulled out and lynched. His body was whisked away to an unknown destination. A similar unpleasant incident happened in front of the Tamale Teaching Hospital where another Fulani survived a mob attack and is currently responding to treatment in the referral hospital. This act of vengeance followed an alleged attack on some Dagombas by unknown suspects believed to be Fulani Nomads around Tampion in the Karaga district, Thursday December 22, 2011. A driver was killed during the attack and his close relations in Tamale have since launched Jihad on any Fulani man spotted in Tamale Township. The attackers have since vowed not to spare any Fulani man they will come across in the Tamale Township. The northern regional Police Commander, DCOP George Tuffour told Citi News his attention had been drawn to the situation and his men have been deployed to maintain law and order in the identified flashpoints.
