The Director of Communications at the Presidency, Koku Anyidoho, has taken a swipe at IMANI-Ghana for cautioning the government not to rest the country�s infrastructure development plans on the Gh�3 billion China Development Bank loan.
The policy think-tank in a statement said it doubts whether the loan is a panacea to the nation�s infrastructural challenges.
However, Anyidoho in an interview with Radio Gold on Tuesday, said IMANI-Ghana got it all wrong and that the Franklin Cudjoe-led organisation is only dancing to the tune of its pay masters to shoot down government policies.
He said the Gh�3 billion CDB loan was the highest point of the President Mills administration in 2011 and it is unfortunate the think-tank is on a deliberate mission to downplay it.
Meanwhile, President Mills has patted Castle staff in the back for their hard work in the previous year. According to Anyidoho, the President went round to shake hands with staff at the various departments including the Castle Clinic on the first working day of the year � January 3 � at the seat of government.
�It was more of a Happy New Year message to them and to thank them for the work done last year,� Anyidoho said.
�A lot has been done and there are still more to be done. We�re hoping that this year a lot more will be done and the President wants to lead by example. �
