Spokesperson of Generational Youth Movement (GYM), a non-governmental Organisation, Kingsley Kakari Bonzi, has asserted that the speed with which state money was paid to beleaguered NDC guru Alfred Agbesi Woyome clearly indicates that there is more to it than meets the eye. GYM has subsequently filed a petition at the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to investigate what it describes as the �administrative injustice� perpetrated against the State by the payment of 58 million Ghana cedis as judgment debt to NDC Financier Alfred Woyome. The NDC Bankroller sued the State for alleged illegal termination of his contract to renovate the same stadia. Waterville sued the State for almost 25 million Euros after its contract with the Government of Ghana was terminated. Mr. Woyome, who allegedly represented M-POWAPAK-the local representative for VAMED ENGINEERING-Austria, towards executing some aspects of the contract, allegedly wrote to the Attorney General to contest the legitimacy of Waterville in suing Government for the said damages. He rather sued the Government in his personal capacity for illegal termination of contract and was awarded 58 million Ghana cedis. The group has also filed a suit at the International Court of Arbitration against WATERVILLE for defrauding Ghana to the tune of 25 million dollars. Speaking on behalf of the group in an interview during PeaceFM News@6pm, Mr. Karikari Bonzi said: "...their duty is to defend the state but we don't see the Attorney General defending the state. The haste at which the money was given to Mr. Wayome indicates something fishy. It is unacceptable and we are calling on CHRAJ to investigate the matter. It's fraudulent, malicious and cannot be accepted anywhere. We welcome investigation from BNI and EOCO and we are asking them including CHRAJ that the speed they used in giving such a huge amount to him should be used to conduct the investigations�.
