Remains Of Burnt Family Laid To Rest

The remains of the three members of a family burnt to death in their sleep on January 3, 2012 at Asylum Down in Accra have been laid to rest. David Nii Teiko Ammah, 67, his wife Gifty Ammah, 51 and their daughter, Phoebe Ammah, 10, died when their rooms caught fire while they slept. Wearing red and black traditional clothes, tearful sympathizers and family members gathered at the resident Thursday where rituals were performed by family heads. The corpses were not brought to the house due to the severity of the burns.
