Nduom: I'll Not Respond...

The founder of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, has stated that he will not respond to the CPPs continuous attempts to draw him into issues relating to their party. The CPPs head of Research and Strategic Planning Committee, Kwabena Benyarko, on Wednesday challenged Dr. Nduom to officially resign from the party within two weeks or face a dismissal. Dr. Nduom, who announced his defection from the CPP a couple of weeks ago, however, told Citi News that he was not perturbed by the party detractions. I really do not wish to be engaging CPP people on CPP matters, I am with the political movement that is being transformed into becoming the Progressive Peoples Party and I dont want to be distracted in anyway, he said. Some people want some kind of publicity in an indirect way and I will not indulge in that, Dr. Nduom said. About 200 members of the CPP including the executives in the Northern region and the KEEA constituency have crossed carpet to Dr. Nduoms new political movement, the PPP.
