Prez Mills Is Responsible For Woyome Mess NPP

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is holding President Mills accountable for the controversial Woyome scandal. Central Regional Secretary of the NPP, Kwamena Duncan insists President Mills should be held responsible for the Woyome Mess" that the country has been plunged into. To him, President Mills has totally failed in the management of the countrys economy and has not shown any commitment in retrieving the huge sums of tax payers money which was criminally given to one person. Contributing to discussions on PeaceFMs Kokrokoo Morning Show on the constant twists and turns in the controversial Alfred Woyome GH58 million judgment debt saga, the NPP staunch activist slammed President Mills saying his remarks in an earlier interview on Radio Gold that Woyome was not his target when he called on the EOCO to investigate all judgment debts was an indictment on his (Mills) integrity. I know only one person and there is only one person that Ghanaians voted for on Dec 28 and sworn in on 7th January to protect all the resources of State. I only know one person,President Mills and if you look at how he has handled the situation, you dont see any sense of urgency. There is nothing that shows that President Mills is ready to ensure that the country recover monies obtained by fraudulently means, he said. Quantifying the colossal amount of money paid to the NDC financier by the state, the Central Regional Secretary of the NPP said the judgment debt obtained by Woyome can be used to complete the Cape Coast Kotokuraba market (which the NDC promised but has failed to construct) and 60 of such markets in every district in the Central Region. Lawyers of beleaguered NDC finacier, Alfred Agbesi Woyome, on Tuesday afternoon filed two writs questioning the authority of the Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) to investigate the controversial GH58 million cedi paid to him by the state. They are praying for an interlocutory injunction restraining the EOCO and its agents, workmen, and for instance anybody or any group of persons or person carrying out investigations relating to the payment of the judgement debt. Woyome's lawyers claim once a court of competent jurisdiction has determined a matter, such as the Woyome case, and its merits, no other organization can open up the case again except a superior court. Commenting on this latest twirl to the Woyome saga, Kwamena Duncan said this move has muffled the entire matter. this Woyome saga is never going to die down until government recovers all the monies paid to him Woyomethis matter has assumed a serious public interest and cannot be swept under carpetGhana under President Mills and the NDC has been humiliated. All these crisis point to the fact that the man we voted for and relied on is completely incapable and if we retain them, we will suffer. The last four years has been hell for Ghanaians and the earlier we show them the exit, the better for us, he said.
