Would You Throw Punches To Keep Your Partner?

Sena Nyaho-Datti, (National Service person) Throwing punches I think is just an under-statement. Even if it turns into killing, Ill do so to keep the one I love. I know as educated and mature as I am, I wouldnt just fight on the street for nothing. There must surely be a reason for my fighting. First, Ill confront whoever is trying to take my man from me and if she starts anything silly then, I think Ill also show her the other side of me. Well, I will not take it lightly if my boyfriend decides to leave me because I have disgraced him by throwing punches for his sake. There is no way on this earth will I let him go. No! This will never happen under my nose. I fought because of him so whats the point of him leaving me afterwards. For all I know, it was a way to show how much I love him. He cant leave like that. ** Roberta Acquah Imbeah, (Reporter) Yes, I will go to every length to keep my man because I love him very much that I cant let go, let alone allowing someone take him away from me. Then probably we might fight and be put behind bars. Ill just do anything within my power to keep him. Even if my boyfriend is after another lady, it is not the lady Ill have to deal with but my boyfriend because it sends me a signal that something is going wrong and therefore I have to rectify it and keep my boyfriend, first of all, Ill make it known to the lady that he is my boyfriend because she might not know, and of course not in a harsh way, but then if it goes beyond that, then Im sorry Ill have to show that I can fight. If this same boyfriend would want to leave me because I fought for him, then it wont be easy for the two of us. Well both die like Romeo and Juliet. Ill kill him and kill myself. ** Richard Osei (IT Specialist) Ill fight to keep her but not to the extent of throwing punches. Ill do everything to keep her but then if I realize what Im doing is a waste of time then Ill back off. If my girlfriend loves me that much, she wont think of having interest in any other man. First, Ill find out from her why shes doing that, if out of her answer I find out shes lost interest, Ill let her go because I cant force her to stay. Even though Ill be hurt seeing someone I love so much going to another man, I wont confront the guy because he wont go ahead to worry my girl if shes also not paying attention to him. ** Millicent Forson (National Service Person) Of course not. Ill let him go because I dont understand why I should break a bone for somebody who is not God. I am not being biblical here but apart from God, I wont fight for anyone even though God says when you do it for your neighbour, youve done it for me. Men can disappoint anytime and therefore I cant understand why I should fight for him just because I love him. I know he is somebody I love and cherish so much but theres no need fighting over a man, no matter what. On the other hand, if he fights with another to keep me, thatll be a waste of his time because I might have left him for another because of something. He should be able to find out for himself why Im leaving him and trust me Ill leave and never return. ** James Ntiamoah, (Businessman) I might throw punches depending on the person I am dating. You see, there are some women who are very supportive of you while in a relationship but there are others who just become a burden. I dont think I will fight for a woman who does not support me in any way. However, if another man is hitting on my woman, I will first confront him in a polite way but if it gets to the point of throwing blows, I will because sometimes when you let go something like that, people might think or say that Im not a man so I will fight to show that I am a man. I cannot just invest in a lady for someone to take her away. On the other hand, Ill not throw punches if the other guy will be calm enough to listen to my story but usually when it comes to matters of the heart, everybody wants to be heard. ** Solomon Quaye, (Cahier) Fight to keep the one I love? No. It wont happen. If it is about confrontation fine, but to the extent of throwing punches, Im sorry you wont get me. I respect myself a lot and so why would I fight because of my girlfriend? Even the confrontation is a big issue to me. If my fellow man is trying to take my girlfriend from me, let him take her away. If the girl really loves me, she wouldnt follow another man. Moreover, I believe there are many fishes in the sea. If you decide to leave me for another person, Ill let you go. After all, we are not married. If she goes and later comes back, I wont take her because she might have realized I am better than the other guy, never in my life will I fight over a woman, my girlfriend for that matter. ** Belinda Helen-Adoko, (Teacher) Fight another woman over a man? For me, I think love comes naturally therefore I can decide to fight to keep the one I love but if the person doesnt love me then whats the essence. I will not fight to keep the one I love because I believe if we are meant to be together theres nothing anybody can do to change his mind over me. I also believe in the saying that if you love someone, let the person go and if he is meant to be yours, he will come back. Yes, I will confront the lady but I will leave if the argument goes out of hand. No, not because Im scared to fight but I will just leave the scene to make her look and feel stupid. Moreover I dont want to disgrace myself.
