Woyome Scandal - Chief State Attorney Arrested

Credible information reaching citifmonline. com indicates that Chief State Attorney Samuel Nerquaye-Tetteh has been arrested by the Police and is currently at the Ghana Police Headquarters. He was picked up moments ago and is in police custody to help with investigations into the Woyome scandal. He is the second person to have been picked up in the still unfolding Woyome saga after mr. Woyome himself was picked up on Friday. Mr. Nerquaye-Tetteh�s was faulted in the recent EOCO report for advising the then Attorney General, Betty Mould iddrisu, that government did not have a basis to put a defense against the suit by Mr. Woyome, an advice the report described as flawed. According to the EOCO report, it was detected that an amount of GHC 400,000 had been paid to Mrs Gifty Nerquaye-Tetteh, the wife of Mr. Samuel Nerquaye-Tetteh from the account of Mr. Alfred Woyome. The said payment took place on June 16, 2011. Mr. Alfred Woyome is however still in CID custody after he was picked up on Friday.
