Goran Should Sack Himself...He Must Not Return To Ghana - NDC

A National Executive member of the ruling NDC and a member of the Black Stars Management Committee says Goran Stevanovic, the Serbian trainer of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars, should consider himself relieved of his position. Yaw Boateng-Gyan says he does not expect to see Goran Stevanovic back in the country again. Speaking in an interview on PeaceFM, the NDC National Organiser said since Plavi, as the Serbian coach is affectionately called, once reiterated that the Black Stars will return from the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations with their fifth title, he should consider himself fired following the failure of the team to even advance to the finals. The jinx still remains unbroken as Ghana's search for a fifth Nations Cup trophy was undone by a 77minute strike by Zambia's Emmanuel Mayuka. The substitute, Mayuka, completed a smash-and-grab victory for the underdogs as he tucked the ball beyond Ghana keeper Adam Kwarasey from 22 yards to complete a miserable day for the 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists. The Chipolopolo striker peeled off John Boye before sending a curling shot beyond the reach of Kwarasey.
