If I Go Down On My Knees, Unimaginable Shame Will Befall Ken Agyapong

National Organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan, has hit back rather strongly at the NPP Member of Parliament for Assin North, Hon Kennedy Agyapong, describing him as mad. He has also dared the NPP firebrand to reveal his source of wealth if he has nothing to hide, saying if the CEO of Kencity Media happened to reside in any of the Western countries, he would have been compelled to name his source of wealth due to the numerous properties he possesses and boasts of. The NDC National Organiser believes the acerbic-tongue MP is probably going insane for labeling him (Yaw Boateng-Gyan) a thief and also for claiming that the vehicle he (Yaw Boateng-Gyan) cruises around in town, a 4x4 Lexus, was bought for him by the embattled NDC financier, Alfred Agbesi Woyome. The soft-spoken NDC member was strident in his denial that the vehicle was a gift from the beleaguered NDC guru, and stated quite emphatically that it is an official vehicle given to him by the party because he is a member of the NDCs National Executive Committee (NEC). Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan was reacting to allegations by the outspoken NPP MP that some leading members of the NDC including himself (Yaw Boateng Gyan), the National Chairman, Dr. Kwabena Adjei and General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia have benefited from Alfred Woyomes judgment debt scandal. Ken Agyapong claimed he has a list of various NDC gurus who benefited from the payment of the infamous judgment debt to businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome. He also cited the Office of the President as also being a beneficiary of Woyome's largesse. In a sarcastic tone, Yaw Boateng-Gyan, who spoke in an interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese on Okay FMs Ade Akye Abia Morning Show and later on Peace FMs Kokrokoo morning show with Kwami Sefa Kayi, wondered whether NPP executives rode on bicycles and motor cycles when the party was in power, adding that the NPP think only the good is enough for them. It is as if something is making Ken mad. I used to respect him a lot and my respect for him went a notch higher when he raised the Woyome issue because we all agree that the country cannot dole out such a huge sum of money to one person. But I take strong exception to him drawing me into this matter and denigrating my nameHe should be bold enough to reveal his source of wealthNever has Ken Agyapong been interviewed on radio without him not going vitriolicWho is he? Has he ever made even one meaningful contribution on the floor of parliament before? he said. Whiles acknowledging that one bad fruit destroys the whole bunch, the NDC NEC member however said it is unfair for people to make sweeping statements and cautioned the NPP MP to spare him the agony of roping him in the Woyome scandal. "Otherwise, if he thinks nobody can stand up to him, Im sorry to say thishe should know that I dont fight with my bare hands. Ill go down on my knees (in prayer) and the kind of shame that will befall him will be inconceivable and none that has occurred to anyone in this country, Yaw Boateng-Gyan declared.
