Kwesi Nduom Goes On Night Interaction

Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom is out with another innovation in electioneering campaigning in the country. On Monday night, precisely February 6th, 2012, Dr. Nduom met and interacted with some residents and indigenes of Korle Gonno, a predominant fishing community in Accra at Addai Park. The excited crowd could not be bothered about the fact that the programme was scheduled in the night and happily and enthusiastically surged forward to catch a glimpse of the 'Edwumawura', when word got round that Dr. Nduom was nearing the Addai Park, the venue of the meeting. It was around 10:30pm. After the initial salutation, Dr. Nduom went into the business of the night. He urged the people to do something politically different from all that they had done since the inception of the 4th Republic and vote for the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) as an alternative to the NPP and the NDC duo-poly. He asked the people to give him the mandate as the President of Ghana to bring on board ideas and innovations that will help propel Ghana into the bracket of an advanced country, adding that he has what it takes to deal with the myriad of problems confronting the country. He asked them to vote for an individual and not a political party for the presidency, because it is the human being - man or woman - who occupies the highest office and not a political party, and therefore advised them to choose the best presidential candidate for the job. Dr. Nduom who had been in Canada and the United States to attend a board meeting and see to other business assignments over the past three weeks, said many Ghanaians in the Diaspora, are forming branches of the Progressive Peoples Party in some of the big cities in North America. They include Ottawa and Toronto in Canada; Houston, Milwaukee, Washington DC, Minneapolis, New York, Atlanta, San Francisco all in the United States. The Ghanaian communities in these cities assured Dr Nduom that they have taken up the challenge. Dr. Nduom spoke about the determination of the PPP to offer Ghanaians, a transparent and accountable government when voted into power and stressed that an Nduom administration will prioritize job creation, education and healthcare. He was emphatic about PPPs commitment towards the eradication of malaria and other preventable diseases in Ghana. According to him, if America, Europe and Asia have been able to eradicate Malaria, then it should be possible for Ghana and for that matter, Africa to do same.
