Kofi Adams Slams NDC Chairman Kwabena Agyei

A deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams has slammed the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Kwabena Adjei over what he describes as the latters attempts to play victim in the seeming instability within the party. His comments come after an explosive letter purportedly written by Dr. Kwabena Adjei and meant for President Mills was leaked into the media last week. The letter highlighted what the chairman termed as serious threats to the partys unity and his discontent with treatment being meted out to him by party members. Dr. Kwabena Adjei also called on President Mills to summon an urgent meeting to address the issue. Government quickly responded by saying President Mills held a meeting with the party chairman to address the concerns raised upon receiving the letter. However, speaking on Citi FMs news and current affairs program, The Big Issue on Saturday, Mr. Adams, who is also spokesperson for former President Rawlings, stated that Dr. Adjei should not have complained because he is equally responsible for the woes of the party. According to Mr. Adams, the chairman should have explored other avenues within the party before taking the action he took. I dont think that I will accept my National Chairman playing victim here because whatever it is that is happening in the NDC, he is equally responsible. You cannot put the blame on one person and play victim Mr. Adams said.
