Ghana went home empty-handed after Mali revenged with a 2-0 win to earn bronze at the Africa Cup of Nations in Malabo on Saturday night. The Black Stars had to play the remaining 25 minutes with ten men after Isaac Vorsah was marched after receiving a second yellow card. Tidiane Diabate�s pair of goals gave the Eagles a well deserved third place finish at this year�s tournament. Ghana began well by dominating the exchanges but were often dispossessed by the physical play for their West African neighbours. Mali piled the pressure and won a corner kick on the right flank. From a well-rehearsed kick saw a low grounder powered in but Kwarasey did well to palm it away. However, his save dropped to lanky Tidiane who had an easier task of turning it in for the opener on 23 minutes. Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic wanted to correct their mistakes immediately and so brought on Prince Tagoe for Samuel Inkoom.
