Woyome Saga: Totobi-Quakyi, PV Obeng & Ahwois Explode...Over Scurrilous Tracts

Four National Democratic Congress (NDC) kingpins have condemned attempts by some anonymous persons within the party to vilify them. According to four NDC bigwigs, the campaign of vilification against them assumed new dimensions in the wake of the Alfred Agbesi Woyome scandal even though they played no role whatsoever in the saga. A joint statement released on Tuesday by the four: Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), P. V Obeng; former Minister of Local Government, Kwamena Ahwoi; Chairman of the National Communications Authority (NCA) Kofi Totobi-Quakyi and Board Chairman of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Ato Ahwoi, said the attempt to vilify them and other innocent persons defies reason. "Even though we know those who are behind these attacks and much as we feel inclined to take on our detractors, we have opted to let our sense of maturity and better judgment to prevail. As we have always done, we will continue to exercise restraint and not compound an already delicate situation," the statement read. Below is the full statement:
