All Set For NPP's "Gargantuan" James Town Rally

All is set for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP's) Gargantuan rally scheduled for Saturday at James Town's Mantse Agbona. Meant to climax a nationwide Listening Tour by its flag-bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, it will also usher in another round of nationwide tours and serve as the NPPs first major political rally for this election year. The rally will see the outdooring of the partys Greater Accra Parliamentary candidates for the various constituencies. Billed to address the rally are some stalwarts of the party including the NPP Presidential candidate for 2012, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, National Chairman of the party, Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey and ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor, who is the special Guest of Honour. Party supporters and sympathizers across the region have began trooping to Mantse Agbonaa for what is expected to be a massive rally this afternoon. It is expected that issues such as high profile corruption, falling standards of education, broken promises, payment of judgment debts, drastic rise in cost of living and high utility tariffs will be highlighted at the rally.
