It Will Be A Mistake To Vote Atta Mills Out Tony Aidoo

The Head of Policy Monitoring and Evaluation at the Presidency, Dr. Tony Aidoo, has cautioned the Ghanaian electorate against electing the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) into office come the December elections. He claimed a vote for the NPP will mean returning the country to the dark old days of political vengeance. Dr. Aidoo was reacting to the NPP Member of Parliament for Assin-North constituency, Hon. Kennedy Agyepongs assertion that President Mills is the number one thief in Ghana. If they have the evidence of the Presidents culpability and that he is the number one thief that when they get back to power they will arrest all of us let them go ahead and do it, the NDC firebrand told Citi News. He observed: After all, the NPP has been arresting its political opponents since it came to power in 2001 - this is not unusual, it is their style of politics and it looks like the NPP wants to throw this country back to the days of neo-barbaric politics, the politics of vindictiveness and violence so it is up to the good people of this country to decide whether we should go back to those dark days or we should move towards politics of civilisation. He told Citi News it will be politically suicidal if the Ghanaian electorate make any mistake of substituting President Mills with Nana Akufo-Addo who in his words is a warmonger. Dr. Aidoo added: Ghanaians will be making a very big mistake like they did to Kwame Nkrumah if they reject President Mills for a war monger like Nana Akufo-Addo.
