Election 2012: CPP-PNC Merger Rifer Than Ever Abu Sakara

A flagbearer aspirant of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Dr. Abu Sakara Foster, has said the possibility for a coalition and subsequent merger between the CPP and the Peoples National Convention (PNC) is high. The CPP and PNC have for some time now been in talks to unite the Nkrumaist front, however, such attempts have fallen through in the past. Speaking to Citi News, the flagbearer hopeful stated that recent changes occurring in both parties is a positive indication for a fruitful outcome. We have always maintained that we will welcome a unity with our brothers in the PNC, Dr. Foster said. As I speak the various committees have been set in place. The conditions for such advancement in this course are now rifer than ever. He added: Now that we have the right age set of people, we can look at the possibility of a coalition in this election and the possibility of a merger if things move quickly. The important point is that well be working towards a greater common goal. Therefore we will want to ensure that the CPP machinery is up and doing and cracking.
