The Upper East Regional Chairman of the United Cadre Front, Mr Noble Asakeya Alagskomah, has underscored the need for a constitutional provision to control people from using indecent language to attack political opponents. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Bolgatanga on Thursday, Mr Alagskomah expressed dismay about the way and manner people especially politicians attack one another using indecent language, hence the need for a law to check the anomaly. He said the practice did not augur well for the country�s democracy, which had chalked out success and earned the respect of the international community. Mr Alagskomah said Ghana had gone a long way from unconstitutional rule to good governance and therefore the need for the citizenry not to take the process for granted. � Ghanaians must do everything to ensure that the country�s democracy is not undermined. �We cannot afford to throw our Ghanaian rich culture to the dogs all in the name of freedom of speech. We are setting bad precedence for our younger generation and this must be avoided,� Mr Alagskomah stressed. He impressed upon government appointees to propagate the good policies and programmes the government had executed for the past 38 months including massive roads, schools and health infrastructure.
