NDC Will Match NPPs Stupidity And Nonsensical Acts Boot For Boot

Managing Editor of the Ghanaian Lens newspaper, Kobby Fiagbe, has warned members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to delude themselves into thinking that they hold sway over acts of violence and recklessness pointing out that the ruling party is ready to match their stupidity and nonsensical acts, boot for boot. Kobby Fiagbe said the NDC welcomes the NPPs all-die-be-die battle-cry because his party is also armed to the teeth and not scared of their antics. That is why in the world when there was this sort of arm race between the East and West, it prevented the catastrophic World War that was bound to happen. People must know that if they bring their stupidity and nonsensical acts, people are ready and willing, to meet them boot for boot. They did it at Atiwa and had no response, he said Koby Fiagbe was commenting on the near clash between NPP faithfuls and supporters of the NDC at the premises of an Accra-based private radio station on Wednesday. The timely arrival of hordes of personnel from the Ghana Police Service, with their crowd control equipment in tow, averted what could have easily been a nasty incident when hundreds of irate supporters of the opposition NPP unhappy with how the host of the show, Bobie Ansah was allegedly heckling and trying to emasculate Hopeson Adoye, a member of the NPPs communication team who was a panelist on the programme, laid siege at the premises of the Accra-based commercial radio station. Speaking to Alhassan Suhuyini in an interview on Radio Gold, the newspaper editor warned that the country will know no peace if one group of people tries to lord it over the other. According to him, it was in the good interest of the nation that the ruling party decided to turn a blind eye to the nonsensical acts exhibited by the NPP in Atiwa. If one side feels strengthened and belligerent, and therefore feels that he has the power to override the other, there would never, ever, be peaceAfter what happened in Atiwa, Akufo-Addo went around boasting and telling his followers that they had shown us something small there, he said. To him, one peculiar character trait of the NPP is that they are skillful hypocrites, and described as really sad the attempt by Hopeson Adoye to play the victim when he initiated the "attack" on both the host and Peter Otukonor (the NDC representative on the show). They would be the first to slap you and turn to the whole world and scream agyeei. By the time the whole world turns around, they would be holding their face like they (NPP) have been slapped, he said.
