Mills Style Of Governance Should Be Subject Of Study For Students - Allotey Jacobs

The Central Regional Director of Communications for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has proposed that President John Evan Atta Mills style of governance should be used as a subject of study for Political Science students. He has also suggested that all politicians in the country, trying to build up their career, should learn to emulate the lifestyle of President Mills. His recommendation, he said, is premised on the mature display of restraint exhibited by the president in not reacting to the invectives his persona and integrity was subjected to by his political opponents last Saturday when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) held its gargantuan rally at Mantse Agbona in James Town. According to Mr. Allotey Jacobs, though the NPP attacked President Mills directly, he was not perturbed but went ahead to commission four new vessels for the Ghana Navy. You see how the president is focused? The style of Professor Mills governance, I tell you, should be a thesis for political students in our various universities. It should even be the kind of way for politicians to learn about the promotion of democracy. This is so because, in the era of Chairman Rawlings, eeei! Who born dog and who dare you? But we have a head of state who wants his citizens to practice the basics of democracy because he is a law professor, he said. Speaking on Adom FM, the NDCs Central Regional Director of Communications reiterated that it was bad of politicians and a particular flagbearer, to mount the podium and launch scathing verbal attacks on a sitting president and desecrate the office of the president. all politicians must join handslets emulate President Mills style of governance and champion the cause of democracy, he added.
