Woyome Scandal: Court Grants State Leeway To Amend Writ

An application brought by the state seeking to amend a writ and statement of claim filed by the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr Benjamin Kunbour in the infamous Woyome case, was today (Wednesday) granted by a Commercial Court in Accra. However, the commercial court presided over by Judge Barbara Akayensu awarded costs of GHc2,000 against the state. The state has brought charges of fraud against the beleaguered NDC guru, Alfred Agbesi Woyome, contending that he fraudulently obtained a GHc51 million judgement debt award by making false representations.
