GCB Provides Exercise Books To Deprived Schools

The Ghana Commercial Bank Limited in partnership with Brand Plus, a marketing company has produced GCB branded exercise books for distribution to deprived schools in the Kumasi Metropolis. In all 5,000 exercise books were produced and donated to selected schools. The Bank provided GH3,700.00 towards the project. The Retail Manager, Asafo Market Branch, Mr Iddrisu Mohammed Muniru, joined staff of Brand Plus to distribute some of the books at the Grace Baptist Primary and Junior High School in Kumasi on Friday, February 24, 2012. Mr Muniru said the initiative and collaboration would go a long way in supporting the education of children in deprived communities. He said GCB was dedicated to supporting wealthy causes of this nature hence the decision to sponsor the production of the books. Mr Muniru urged parents and guardians to open GCB Kidistar Accounts for their wards saying that such an account will be beneficial to the children in future.
