NPP Already At The Castle Appiah-Pinkrah

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Akrofuom Constituency, Mr. Kwabena Appiah-Pinkrah, has said that the party will win the general elections on December 7, 2012. He said the NPP had done everything right to retain the constituency seat while Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would also become the president because of the failures of the current NDC government. He stressed that in order for the party to win overwhelmingly to silence the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), all members, sympathizers and admirers should be actively involved in educating the electorate to turn out in their numbers and register when the Electoral Commission (EC) begins the Biometric Voter Registration on Saturday, March 24, 2012. Addressing members of the Akrofuom branch of the party at Akrofuom, Mr. Appiah-Pinkrah expressed optimism that people have lost confidence in the NDC party and its leadership and therefore wanted Nana Akufo-Addo to come and rescue them from their plight. He added that Nana Akufo-Addo was focused and he was confident that Nana Akufo-Addo would take over in January 7, 2013 and use the sterling qualities he possessed in the best interest of the country. Mr. Appiah-Pinkrah reminded party members that during the time of former President Kufuor, Ghanaians saw meaningful economic policies and programmes that brought significant improvement in their lives. He said Kufuors administration made the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) play an important role in the lives of the people. He also said the School Feeding Programme was perfectly managed and that also gave an impetus to many children of school age to attend school. Mr. Appiah-Pinkra added that during Kufuors administration, many second cycle schools in the country benefited from GETfund projects, where infrastructure like school buildings, dormitories, libraries, assembly halls, dining halls and school buses were provided for schools. The MP said the introduction of the Mass Transport by the Kufuor-led administration brought many buses into the system to help solve transportation problems in the country, adding that many development projects like markets, road rehabilitation and road construction were also undertaken all over the country.
