The outgoing Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Rose Atinga Bio, has said residents of Accra will forever remember her for flushing out notorious armed robbers in the region and ensuring a very peaceful atmosphere during her tenure. She said her ruthless strategy towards notorious armed robbers brought fear and panic in the world of burglars making it difficult for them to operate under her watchful administration. DCOP Atinga Bio is being transferred to the Police headquarters as the Director General of Administration and she will be succeeded by the Ashanti Regional Commander, DCOP Patrick Timbilla. The top police officer said one of the main highlights of her term of office as Accra police boss was making it possible for residents to go about their normal duties in a peaceful atmosphere in a region, which was hitherto prone to robbery. �Wherever I�m sent I�ll make an impact,� she told Accra-based Joy FM. �Filling stations were closing at 6pm when I came in and a lot of armed robbery were ongoing, but where are they now. We have busted them and Accra is peaceful.� The no nonsense police capo added: �Armed robbery has gone down drastically in Accra.� DCOP Atinga Bio said she feels so happy with her new role and was most grateful to her superiors. � I�m so proud and elated. It�s no mean achievement. I thank authorities for the confidence they have in me to elevate me to this level. I�m going to have my strategies and set my goals.�
