Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Minister of Education has toured some senior high schools in Tamale Metropolis to observe at first hand the conduct of candidates writing the West Africa Schools Certificate Examination.
A statement signed by Mr Paul Krampah, Director of Public Relations at the Education Ministry and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday, said, the Minister commended the students for their discipline and high academic performance over the years.
She urged the students to continue to work hard to serve as role model for their peers and also comport themselves when they leave school.
According to the statement, Mrs Hajia Mariatu Mohammed, Headmistress of the school commended the government for the provision of infrastructural facilities and called for adequate accommodation for the teachers as well access to potable water and sports field.
