The Koforidua Regional Hospital has taken delivery of surgical equipment and consumables to help improve the quality of care.
The items costing over US$15,000 were a donation from the Sarkodee-Addo Foundation.
On hand, to present these, was Mr. Robert Kwame Sarkodee-Addo, a member of the Foundation.
He said it was their contribution to efforts at providing the hospital, which their grandfather, the late Sarkodee-Addo, helped to build, with vital equipment it needed to bring healing to the sick.
The Foundation, he added, had made similar donations to the 37 Military Hospital, Greater Accra Regional Hospital and the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
He spoke of plans to extend the support the Police Hospital.
Mr. Richard Asamoah, the Hospital Administrator, received the items on behalf of the facility and thanked the Foundation for the gesture.
