President John Dramani Mahama, is expected to arrive today in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia ahead of the 20th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government and the 22nd Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union which opens on Sunday the 27th of January.
President Mahama this time is appearing at the Summit as the President of the Republic of Ghana.
At the opening ceremony President Mahama, will be given the honours to address the Summit.
The Highlights of the Session will be on the Campaign for accelerated reduction of Maternal Mortality and President Mahama is expected to present a report of Ghana's progress so far in the fight.
The President will be accompanied by the Foreign Minister Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni, Executive Secretary to the President Dr Raymond Atuguba and the Director General of the Ghana AIDS Commission Dr Angela El-Adas.
