An Accra High Court will today begin hearing on the case between some students and authorities of the African University College of communications, (AUCC) on pertinent issues relating to the institution’s last Student Representative Council (SRC) elections.

It would be recalled that, not too long ago, some three students hauled those who oversee to the day to day activities at AUCC to the law court to respond to what they described as uncertainties in the SRC elections.

In about three appearances at the Court, both respondents and petitioners were told in the face that the docket to the case was missing.

On the 4th sitting being the last time of the first case, the presiding Judge revealed to their greatest surprise that their case was struck out by another judge.

Apparently, the docket found itself miraculously in another court whereas they were asked to go for the hearing in another.

It was evidently clear that the case was struck out by the different Judge after calling the case twice in the absence of both the plaintiffs and the defendants.

Although the Lawyer for the plaintiffs tried in his capacity to engage the Son of the President Kwasi Yankah as well as the President himself for amicable settlement but to no avail hence to Re-list the case for hearing.

It is however not be clear who did not do his or her work well for the disappointment to occur but what could be told is that a notice of summon has been served Mr. Kojo Yankah, President of AUCC, Ogowuchuku Nkwekwe, Dean of Students, Sangmorkie Tetteh, SRC President and the electoral commissioner, Solomon Anderson to defend the case against them.-

Meanwhile, on the issue of the sex scandal that hit AUCC some few months ago, we are yet to familiarize ourselves with the findings or otherwise of the committee that was set up to investigate deeper into the issue that implicated some 5 teachers of the institution.
