Mr. George Asamoah Amankwah, was on Friday, 5th December, 2014 adjudged the National Best Farmer of the year.
At the 30th National Farmers' Day which was on the theme: "Eat What You Grow", Mr Amankwah received 100,000 dollars to put up a house at his place of choice.
Speaking to Nana Yaw Kesse on Monday�s edition of �Kokrokoo�, Mr Amankwah who comes from Manso Nkwanta, Ashanti Region said: �I have been expecting this for a very long time and so my joy was immeasurable when my name was mentioned as the National Best Farmer of the year�.
Taking listeners through the journey of his life, he said before he became a farmer, he started as a spare parts dealer �and even became chairman of the spare parts association�.
