The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has reduced its power supply to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) from 600 megawatts to 300 megawatts.
Reasons for the reduction are, however, unclear.
Confirming the news on Citi FM Monday afternoon, the Public Relations Officer of ECG, William Boateng, said the management of ECG will meet with the management of GRIDCo to ascertain the reasons for current shortfall.
Following, he said, a final decision would be taken on the next step to take as the country is currently going through a load-shedding period due to the shortage in power supply.
