The newly built Greater Accra Regional Hospital, formerly Ridge Hospital, is a good job that should be maintained properly, former President Jerry John Rawlings has said.
According to him, if properly maintained, the hospital would be able to serve Ghanaians for several years.
The hospital was inaugurated on Wednesday November 30 in Accra.
Former President Rawlings, who was at the inaugural ceremony, told journalists: “I guess we are all feeling quite proud. This is a good job and I hope we maintain it to give it a long lifespan.
I am hoping that the operators – the doctors, the staff and the [patients] – will conduct themselves in a manner that will preserve the sanctity of this place. The hygienic condition especially is looking so beautiful, so new, and so clean.
“I just hope that we can maintain the level of cleanliness to several years from now.”

John Ford Mahama is a bribe giver and bribe taker president.... He is c0rrupt... he killed Prof Mills..
oh yes Mahama really know how Ghanaians are that is why he waited for this long before he started all these infrastructures , in 2008 he( Mahama)then aspiring vice president said if you vote for someone based on infrastructures then your mindset is low because every government can do that. So you see YOUR MINDSET is REALLY LOOOOW
Well done JDM. But remember that the most lasting legacy of yours would be the Eastern Corridor Road. Whatever it will take to fix, please may God help you to win this election and make it your No.1 priority in your second term. This road cuts across four regions and therefore will have a huge impact. God less.
Dear JM, I am one of your arch critics in terms of your governance performance. But honestly, I give you thumb up for this hospital, the Nkrumah interchange, Adomi bridge and Kasoa interchange.... Weldone. JM i say toaso. Mo ne yo
