President Akufo-Addo delivering his maiden State of the Nation Address on Tuesday February 21, 2017 described himself as a man who was in a great hurry to develop the country.
He said he got to work to immediately after his inauguration by quickly putting his team that would help him govern because there is no time to waste.
"I have heard it said that I am behaving like a man in a hurry, Mr Speaker I am indeed in a hurry. The times in which we live demands that we all be in a hurry to deal with the problems we face,’’ Nana Addo said.
However, two months after making that comment, General Overseer of the Glorious Waves Church, Prophet Badu Kobi has faulted the president for making such a comment.
Speaking to Uncle Nat on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the renowned prophet said "I was highly disappointed in the president for making such a statement.
"You are a hurry going where? God who created the universe and everything in it, is not in a hurry so why should you an ordinary being say you are in a hurry? God created the universe in six days and rested on the seventh day so why should you say you are in hurry?. The day he made that statement, I said, these people will destroy this country.’’
He added, "I am looking for the opportunity to meet the president and question him why he made that statement. I will ask why he is in a hurry and for what. He needs to lay the foundation and take his time. You can’t say you are in a hurry because God is the one who directs our steps and so if you are in a hurry, you will commit blunders.’’
Prophet Kobi stressed that, some men of God have failed to chide the president for making that comment and has indicated that Nana Addo should allow God to guide his steps so he can succeed.

This fake prophet should stop embarrassing his church members.
What is wrong with this man? We have not forgotten what he said about Nana Addo. Please tell him to ***barred word*** and leave the president alone
This is a true reflection of hatred. Hasn't this so called Prophet heard that People say we are in hurry? He is full of hatred and called himself a man of God. THE GREATEST FALSE PROPHET IN GHANA: ***barred word*** and let us think. You don't know anything or you are a devil but you cannot do anything to Nana. GO AWAY ***barred word*** PROPHET INDEED
I don't understand this man. He should just focus on his calling and ministry and stop the needless politics. He wants to be in the news to raise himself to fame like the Otabils and the like. He is clearly scrambling for attention. The prez has no time to meet with you.
It's bad and also not good to say these people would destroy this country. The words we speak are powerful and they are spirits. Let's say what we wish for this country. Let's pray for our president and his appointees to succeed. May God bless our mother land Ghana. Please Let's not condemn the prophet. Remember the Bible says touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm
This is the same man who said Nana will not be president.he should give us a break.anyway, God Himself has given Nana the mandate so why complain
I am always restrained when dealing with men of God because they are men of God so I won't go there. But, this prophet I think do not wish the NPP and Nana Addo well. As for his failed prophecy that Nana Addo won't win and he won, I can pardon him because it does happen. It even happened to Prophet TB Joshua in Hillary Clinton's case. But to say "These people will destroy this country" tells everyone the mindset of this prophet. Clearly you can tell that he doesn't wish the party and Nana Addo well. Following from this, one can easily conclude that his prophecy about Nana Addo were all lies arising from deep centred hatred for him.But prophet, haters are not God!
This is the most ***barred word*** statement to come this fake so called man of God. First he prophesied that Nana Addo could not be president but his predictions failed. We as a nation are more than Hurry to develop so why pick this factual statement out of context and blame the president for competing with God? If you are frustrated by the election results which didn't go in favor of your beloved NDC, find a better way to ease your frustrations else where. You will NEVER have that opportunity to question the president not today or forever. A cheek of it!
Being in a hurry may not necessarily Nana wants to go ahead of God. But looking at the level of deprivation of the country, he wishes things are changed for the betterment of the citizens overnight. Let's continue to pray for him to succeed.
IF YOU ARE INDEED CALLED, THEN PLEASE YOU ARE DEVIATING. JUST FEED THE SHEEP AND STOP TRYING TO FORCE YOURSELF INTO POLITICAL LIMELIGHT
