Peacefmonline.com can confirm that a Starbow flight has been involved in an accident at the Kotoka International Airport with some people injured.
Reports suggest the plane veered off the tarmac as it attempted takeoff.
Some sources at the Airport have indicated that, the flight, which was set to take off to Kumasi, skidded off the runway and reportedly crashed into a fence wall in the direction of the nearby Air-force base.
Our source indicates that about 5 people have been sent to the hospital for treatment while others have been left traumatized.
An eyewitness in a brief chat told GhanaWeb.com, “I thought I was going to die”.
In 2015 passengers on board a Tamale-bound aircraft of Starbow airlines had the scare of their lives when the aircraft, BAE with registration 9GSBB, crash landed in Tamale although no injuries were recorded.
In 2014, two people were injured after a Takoradi bound Starbow aircraft made an emergency landing.

Owusu Bempa prophecy has been fulfilled. Ghana beware and take that man serious
why do you always want to kill our local companies.i don't think when they took delivery of that aircraft you publish it in your media but you are in a hurry to spread false information and even exhibiting your ignorance on the aviation industry as well.am not sure about the number but most of the employees are Ghanaians. what do you what to achieve with this. Nobody is saying don't report but report the truth. I have read the press release by Ghana Airport Company and is totally different from this!!
You this peace fm guys, i really dont know what is wrong with you. Aviation incidents happens. Emirates, qatar airways and British airways have had similar incidents in the past. This happens more often in aviation industry. have any of your journatist find out the challenges of the local airlines
You see how ***barred word*** our journalist can be. They are even blind to facts. No know nothing about aviation but yet you want to write about it. Aviation is more particular about words. Do you know what is a crash landing? Can you survive a crash landing. The aircraft skids off the runway during take off due bad weather. They are countless of this occurrence in the world which is not something new to aviation industry.Instead of you journalists helping these local airlines to grow, you enjoy when something bad happens. Peacefm! you are bigger than this. am ashamed of you. for your last education, in aviation, there is different between "accidents and incidents". use your words well. ***barred word*** journalists. single room journalists who dont learn
what a country of jokers
