ghana is in trouble, gh pp
Yeeei, today, the Holy Spirit has rekindled my whole being with happiness, joy & gratitude. A president who is a lawyer, really abiding by the tenets of his profession. The President is showing us all that the truth must prevail. Anas showed it all in his video so the truth cannot be hidden. Look, even if you hide the truth, the Almighty God captures everything & justice is always done. Pl. Nana, Amidu & Anas, don't spare any Ministry/Department in this country for they're all involved even more than the Judges. We all know them. Yeei, today, the Holy Spirit is hovering over Ghana and the evil doers are shaking in their pants. Merci a vous, Mr President.
I feel like crying when this corruption canker has entered the church. Assemblies of God Ghana is an example. In some Assemblies, the head pastors have made themselves kings. They appoint people they can control as deacons instead of facilitating elections. Then they just use the churches money any how (as if they won the churches). In many churches in Kumasi, the head pastors does not take salaries and I wonder how they pay tithe. They spend every money that the church raises any how (and cook financial reports at the end of the year to the head office). The pastors do not report to anyone in the church. I think EOCO has a lot of work to do and if the traditional authorities like Asantehene would not tolerate corrupt chiefs, then the churches (the conscience of the people) would be one of the first places to look. If a reverend minister does not see anything wrong with misappropriation of church funds and does not account to anybody how can he advise christian executives. The work load of fighting corruption in Ghana is heavier than we have ever imagined.
It's sad to note that custodians of the law are the very people don't respect the law. I pray the appropriate authority to revoke their certification.
MPS, CEOS, APPOINTEES CHIEF, ALL MUST BECOME ACCOUNTABLE IN NEW GHANA. I WAS HAPPY WHEN ASANTEHENE DISTOOLED A CHIEF FOR FLOUTING THE LAW AND BEING JUDGED TO BE CORRUPT. THAT WAS A REAL BOOST TO SUPPORT THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION. I WAS HAPPY FOR THAT ACTION REFLECTING A NEW SPIRIT IN COMMON IN GHANA. OFTEN CORRUPT POLITICIANS RUN TO CHIEFS TO SEEK CLEMENCY AGAINST APPLICATION OF THE LAW AGAINST THEIR WRONG DEEDS. NOW, IF THE CHIEFS THEMSELVES HAVE FOUND IT NECESSARY TO DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY FROM THEIR OWN SUB CHIEFS THEN IT IS WARNING TO ALL IN GHANA THAT THERE NO PLACE FOR ANYBODY TO TAKE SHELTER AGAINST CRIME. THE REASON BEING THAT NOW, IT WILL BE DISINGENUOUS FOR CHIEFS TO PLEAD FOR POLITICIANS REQUIRED TO BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR OFFICE. IT THEREFORE REQUIRES OF EVERY GHANAIANS TO ACT MINDFULLY IN WHATEVER THEY DO.
@Double Jeopady what the President has done is legal. The constitution gives him that power. Double jeopady does not siffice here in my humble opinion. This is because the president is excercising a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT. I beleive that the requirements of the rule of law could be used to allow the judicial process to take place but even this does not curtail the ability of the president exercising his constitutional function. This is the issue with codified sets of laws. It is up to the president to use the constitutional powers conferred on him or allow the judicial process to proceed in this very situation.
nana addo shld promote JUSTICE DERY TO CHIEF JUSTICE!!! after all, Ghanaians have lost hope in the fight against corruption. He might as well PROMOTE the wrongdoers!!!! Ghana is going to overtake NIGERIA as a Country of Crooks, For Crooks in the Interst of CROOOKS!!!!
So is a lawyer who cannot provide a certificate earned as a lawyer.
This suspension cannot stand any judicial scrutiny. How can you suspend these judges for the same offence twice. Or is deliberately done to enable them challenge this second suspension at the Supreme Court? Sad.
The greedy NDC MPs who took double salary are on their way out of parliament...... You cannot sit in parliament and be making laws for us to obey and be dishonestly collecting double salary from the state...... As for Haruna Iddrisu his presidential ambition is finished...... We will soon be referring to them as ex-convicts instead of ex-MPs....... Good job Mr. President....
