President of Ghana Registered Nurses & Midwives Association (GRNMA), Dr. Kweku Krobea- Asante has called on citizens to muster courage and report nurses who conduct themselves in a rude manner at any health centre; mainly public hospitals.
According to him, since every nurse has his / her tag name on always; patients should at all time note down the names of the nurses they come into contact with at the various hospitals who put up insolent behaviour.
“Do not be afraid to report a nurse to the authority in-charge for he/she will know how to handle the situation in protecting the patient,” he assured.
Speaking on UTV’s Friday special edition of ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, Dr. Krobea- Asante categorically stated “under no circumstance must a nurse must be seen idling about whiles on duty”.
He further explained some patients feel unattended to at a particular point because the nurse may be attending to a more pressing issue whiles on duty.
“Even though I don’t doubt the fact that some nurses are rude and use their mobile phones more whiles on duty despite their training against such actions, other nurses work their heart out per the laws of the service”

nurses must start wearing their name tags. and that tall bed at the labour ward where women deliver babies, I saw my baby's head coming and was asked by the nurses to climb the the tall bed, it was terrible for me and they refused to help me climb it. I came come after delivery very traumatised. God punish every wicked nurse
IS IT ONLY NURSES WHO ARE RUDE TO PATIENTS? I HAD A VERY BAD AND TERRIBLE ENCOUNTER WITH A FEMALE DOCTOR AT MAMPROBI POLYCLINIC SOME NIGHT BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER FELL SICK AFTER MID-NIGHT AND WE HAD TO RUSH HER TO THE CLINIC AT A TIME THIS DOCTOR WAS ON DUTY. SHE WOULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY WE SHOULD GET THERE AFTER MID-NIGHT. SHE WAS SHOUTING AND SHOUTING AT ME AND I GOT FED UP AND REPLIED HER BADLY. BOTH OF US HAD OUR TEMPERS RISING FAR BEYOND CONTROL THAT NIGHT TILL SHE REALISED THAT I WAS ALSO NO ***barred word*** PERSON, THEN SHE HAD TO BACK OUT OF THE PANDEMONIUM. THE NURSES WHO WERE WATCHING THE SCENE LATER CONFESSED TO ME THAT THAT HAS BEING HER BEHAVIOUR TO PATIENTS AND THAT SHE HAD MET HER "COMPATRIOT". FORTUNATELY, THE LAST TIME I WAS THERE I LEARNT SHE HAD BEEN TRANSFERED.
the so call Superiors are dating this nurse so it wont go anywhere.
