The Asamankese Circuit Court will on December 21, give judgement on a case in which a horticulturist, Abass Antwi, 41, has been charged with stealing cocoa belonging to his uncle.
Antwi pleaded not guilty.
Police Chief Inspector Kate Ogyiri told the court that in 1970, the complainant, Solomon Osei Sarkodie, inherited the property of the father of the accused person, following his (father) death.
Prosecution said in 2000, the accused started agitating to take ownership of his late father's property including a cocoa farm and a house.
Chief Insp Ogyiri said that the complainant claimed that he sued the accused at a High court in Koforidua and judgement was given in his favour.
Prosecution said in October last year, the accused threatened to take possession of his late father's cocoa farm and house.
Chief Insp Ogyiri said on Saturday 17, 2008, the complainant travelled to his hometown, Asante Mampong, and when he returned he was told by a witness that the accused harvested cocoa from his farm.
In a caution statement, the accused denied harvesting cocoa from his uncle's farm.
