Several houses have been torched in fresh clashes between Konkombas and Bimobas at Kpamale, a village near Nankpanduri in the Northern Region.
There are reports of sporadic shootings in the town since Tuesday night, March 5, 2013.
A combined team of military men and policemen is patrolling the area to bring the situation under control.
A resident of the area, Sampson Lah said the situation is very precarious for the residents in the area. ��Up till now the gunshots keep firing between Kokombas and Bimobas�everybody is running helter-skelter. So many houses have been burnt now as I speak�.
He said: ��This morning we saw that the military was battling, they fired back and it was so dangerous�some are entering Nankpanduri Township but its not easy because the fighting is coming towards Nankpanduri�.
XYZ Newsďż˝ Northern regional Correspondent Kizito Abagoami confirmed the incident and said one Bimoba Resident has had his leg broken in the fight.
Information is sketchy about the cause of the clashes.
The Ghana Armed Forces has however taken control of the town and brought calm to the area.
