Members of the Ho Municipal Assembly at an emergency meeting on Monday paid tribute to Mr Komla Dumor, a BBC Journalist, who died at the weekend.
The assembly members took turns to eulogise Mr Dumor for raising high the flag of Ghana on the international stage.
Yes, Mr Dumor has paid his due. He deserves the honour, Mr Yao Semordey, Presiding Member of the assembly, said after he had asked the members to observe a minutes silence in honour of Mr Dumor.
Mr Emmanuel Kafui Dzamefe, Assemblyman for Lume, described Mr Dumor as an Iconic figure with passion for excellence and urged media practitioners to emulate his example.
The emergency meeting tasked a five-member committee to investigate alleged renovation of the Municipal Chief Executives residence without the approval of the assembly.
