Four workers of First Class Waste Service have met their untimely death when trying to empty a septic tank Thursday morning.
The four, a driver and three others were contracted by a private firm to empty a septic tank at the Industrial Area in Accra.
According to an eyewitness, after removing the waste substance, they realized that there was sand in the tank and so decided to remove it for extra fees.
However, in the process, one of them started sinking and the two including the driver who tried to rescue him, failed in their attempt; leading to their untimely death.
The fourth person has been identified as Martey Amarkwei, 25, but it is not clear how he got drowned.
According to PEACE FM news Editor, Akwasi Agyeman who was at the scene of the accident, residents have been able to remove all the bodies.
He also added that the liquid waste collection vehicle with registration number GN 2318-13, had the inscription �First Class Waste Services�
