The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has disconnected some police barracks in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, for non-payment of water bills for the past two years.
The disconnection exercise which was carried out three days affected about 300 police personnel staying at former Allor Hotel at Effia and Ahenfie Hotel.
Mr Daniel Muomaalia, Western Regional Manager of GWCL, confirmed the disconnection to the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Thursday, and said the police are in arrears to the tune of GHc43, 000.
He said the GWCL would consider re-connecting the affected personnel if the police administration made arrangements for payment.
