A security company, G4S, contracted by the Joint Venture Eastern Corridor Road (JVECR) contractors, has arrested some workers for siphoning fuel from their vehicles.
Mr Fuseini Abdulai, G4S Contract Manager, said this when he briefed the media at Yendi on the situation prevailing in the JVECRC, within Yendi, Gushgu and Nanumba North (Bimbilla) districts.
He said since 18th June, the security company has arrested 10 drivers, some of whom are on the run, for siphoning diesel from their graders, tipper trucks and other vehicles to sell.
Mr Fuseini said his security men work both day and night, from Yendi to Gushegu and Bimbilla monitoring the workers of the contractors.
He said all those arrested have been handed over to the Yendi Police for further investigations whiles some of them have been dismissed by the Joint Venture Eastern Corridor Road Contractors.
