Former Deputy Minister of Transport Joyce Bawa-Mogtari has asked Ghanaians who travel in and out of the country using the Kotoka International Airport to credit former president John Dramani Mahama with the massive transformation the airport has seen.
According to her, the transformation, which includes a modern baggage carousel, is a legacy of Mr Mahama, although he lost the 2016 elections.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by Mr Mahama, lost last year’s presidential and parliamentary elections to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The defeat of the NDC came as a surprise to several members of the party due owing to what they termed massive infrastructural development in all sectors across the country carried out by the Mahama administration.
To that end, Mrs Mogatri Bawa tweeted on Sunday January 15: “When you arrive at the Kotoka International Airport and see all the improvements, remember #MahamaLegacy.”

Baggage carousel? For real? Stop it already!
Madam Joyce Bawa-Mogtari, I am sorry to disappoint you but there is really nothing so impressive for the NDC to brag about at KIA. It is still a third class airport where passengers get bused upon arrival as well as departure. Under Mahama more carriers stopped flying to KIA than new airlines that started flying to Kotoka. We lost 3 major arlines, as an example: Virgin Atlantic, United Airlines and Alitalia. With the airport tax that we pay, what we see and experience less than a bargain.
Can you please tell us the details and cost of the project. ***barred word*** fooools
We will remember the huge cost of projects. What was the cost of KUMASI airport runway? SHAME POLITICIANS
was the Kotoka airport built by Mahama? can you tell has how much money was used?. president Kufuor did his part why can't you say that of Kufuor? Take you ***barred word*** away and let have some peace church mouse.
DO THESE ***barred word*** AGENTS HAVE SENSE AND DUTY TO GHANA?
Remember what? At a cost the virtually built a new one with spacious and modern facilities. corruption galore everywhere.
WHO WILL REMEMBER AKUA DONKOR'S MAHAMBOLE, CHAMA!!!!!!!
I WILL RATHER, SINCE KOTOKA IS AN AIRPORT, REMEMBER MAHAMA AND HIS EMBRAER 190 AIR CRAFT!!!!!!
Remember Kwame Nkrumah when you drive on the Tema motorway..... Remember John Mahama bribes when you see a ford car. I cannot understand the thinking of some of these NDC ministers. I can comfortably predict that the NDC will remain in opposition for a very very long time...
